“Hong Kong Fisherman” celebrates Chinese New Year and welcomes the Year of the Dragon with Hong Kong-style auspicious menus from 8 - 24 February 2024
“Hong Kong Fisherman”, the authentic Hong Kong-style Chinese restaurant that has been in the service for 17 years under the management of IMPACT Muang Thong Thani, invites everyone to celebrate Chinese New Year, an important festival for all Chinese descendants globally. For 2024, it is the Year of the Dragon. Chinese people believe that eating good and auspicious food will lead to a life full of happiness and prosperity. Hong Kong Fisherman led by Chow Tai Shing, the highly-experienced head chef with over 40 years of experience, has prepared both a la carte and dim sum menus with prices ranging from 90++ - 3,288++ baht and two set menus at 13,888++ - 16,888++ baht for everyone to try during this special occasion from 8 - 24 February 2024.
Boosting luck in your life in the Year of the Dragon at “Hong Kong Fisherman” with the signature a la carte dish “Hong Kong Style Yu Sheng with Rainbow Raw Salmon” (1,988++ baht) that contains quality salmon from Norway. Chinese people believe that eating fish will lead to prosperity throughout the year. The dish is served with assorted colorful vegetables and topped with peanut, sesame, special sauce and wonton strips. It is a ritual to shout “Lo Hei” when mixing the ingredients together. It is also believed that the higher you raise your chopsticks when mixing, the richer and happier you will be. There are also new additions to the a la carte menu including “Fried Fish Maw and Crab Meat with Scrambled Eggs, Deep-fried Rice Sheet Roll Stuffed with Minced Prawn, and Chilled Drunken Chicken”, “Barbecued Crispy Pork Bellyม Deep-fried Tofu Sheet Crab RolI, and Chilled Jellyfish Salad with XO Sauce”, “Braised Premium Fish Maw, Goose Webs, Chinese Mushrooms, Seasonal Vegetable with Brown Sauce” (1,988++ baht each) and “Braised Whole Abalone, Chinese Mushroom and Hong Kong Kale with Oyster Sauce” (10 abalones / 3,288++ baht). Finish off an auspicious meal with desserts like “Sweetened Red Bean Cream with Black Sesame Dumpling and Sago” (120++ baht) and “Pan-fried Red Bean Paste Pancake” (300++ baht for small size / 600++ baht for medium size).
Moreover, eight varieties of Hong Kong-style dim sum are also available at 90++ - 380++ baht including “Fresh Fish Maw and Seafood Dumplings with Superior Lobster Bisque”, “Steamed Shark’s Fin, Shrimps Dumpling with Caviar”, “Steamed Grouper Fillet, Pork and Shrimps with XO Sauce”, “Steamed Quail Eggs, Pork and Shrimps with Crab Meat”, “Steamed Pork Tongue and Shrimp with Black Pepper Sauce”, “Steamed Black Moss, Shrimps and Pork Tongue with Crispy Dried Scallop”, “Water Chestnut Spring Rolls” and “Always Happy Pie”.
For the set menu, the chef has selected delicious dishes that come with auspicious meaning. There are two sets to choose from, priced at 13,888++ - 16,888++ baht for a table of 10 persons. Details are as follows.
Set Menu A (13,888+ baht) consists of auspicious and signature dishes that are also packed with health benefits including “Hong Kong Style Yu Sheng-Rainbow Raw Salmon Fish Salad”, “Fried Fish Maw and Crab Meat with Scrambled Eggs, Deep-fried Rice Sheet Roll Stuffed with Minced Prawn, and Chilled Drunken Chicken”, “Braised Shredded Abalone with Shredded Chicken and Chinese Mushrooms in Brown Soup”, “Longan Wood Roasted Peking Duck”, “Braised Premium Fish Maw, Goose Webs, Chinese Mushrooms and Seasonal Vegetable with Brown Sauce”, “Steamed Black Grouper with Superior Soya Sauce”, “Braised E-fu Noodles with Crab Meat”, “Sweetened Red Bean Cream with Black Sesame Dumpling and Sago” and free refill of Chinese tea or Chrysanthemum tea (hot /cold).
Set Menu B (16,888++ baht) consists of auspicious dishes that are believed to bring good luck and fortune throughout the year including “Hong Kong Style Yu Sheng-Rainbow Raw Salmon Fish Salad”, “Barbecued Crispy Pork Belly, Deep-fried Tofu Sheet Crab RolI, and Chilled Jellyfish Salad with XO Sauce”, “Braised Shark’s Fin Soup with Crab Meat”, “Longan Wood Roasted Peking Duck”, “Braised Whole Abalone, Chinese Mushroom and Hong Kong Kale with Oyster Sauce”, “Steamed Black Grouper with Superior Soya Sauce”, “Special Fisherman Fried Rice with Seafood”, “Pan-fried Red Bean Paste Pancake” and free refill of Chinese tea or Chrysanthemum tea (hot /cold).
On 9 - 11 February 2024, the restaurant is giving away 100-baht vouchers in red envelopes and offering selected menu items at special prices (limited quantity). The restaurant will also give away auspicious oranges (limited quantity) on 10 - 11 February 2024.
