IMPACT prepares traffic management plan to facilitate over 40,000 visitors on this coming Sunday

Miss Jintana Phongpakdee, Corporate Communications Director of IMPACT Exhibition Management Co., Ltd., the operator of IMPACT Exhibition and Convention Center, Muang Thong Thani, said over 40,000 people are expected to visit IMPACT Muang Thong Thani on Sunday, February 7, 2016 for events including a competitive civil service examination with 28,566 applicants which will take place from 9 am to 4 pm at IMPACT Challenger Hall 1-3, Happy Life Project Seminar at Royal Jubilee Ballroom, and Muang Thong Thani Sunday Market, which are expected to create heavy traffic.

To ensure convenience of all visitors, IMPACT has prepared a traffic management plan as well as adequate parking areas including Indoor Parking 1, 2, 3 which can accommodate up to 15,000 vehicles and will be open from 6 am onwards. Meanwhile, outdoor parking at AKTIV Square, P4, P5, and P6 parking will be open at 8 am. A number of security staff will be assigned to facilitate traffic flow and provide visitors with directions to their destinations. IMPACT will also have a tow truck available to move vehicles that are improperly parked or block a road, and coordinate with local traffic police officers to provide back-up assistance and help monitor traffic conditions.           

Moreover, IMPACT will provide signage to indicate the exam venue and parking areas as well as asking for cooperation from providers and operators of public transport vehicles including buses, mini buses, vans, and taxis as well as IMPACT Link shuttle buses to run more frequently to handle big crowds travelling to and from the convention center. Coaches and golf carts will also be available for visitors to take a ride from parking areas to event venues. IMPACT will also have a team to report traffic conditions from time to time via radio channels such as Jor Sor 100 and Sor Wor Por 91 as well as social media including Twitter and Facebook.
