The Opening Ceremony of OTOP Midyear 2016 – "Thailand’s Artistic Diversity – All in One Place"

Recently, General Anupong Paochinda, Minister of Interior presided over the opening ceremony of OTOP Midyear 2016 held under the theme of “Thailand’s Artistic Diversity – All in One Place”. Also attending the event was Interior Permanent Secretary Kritsada Boonrat as well as representatives of ambassadors from different countries and government officers from Community Development Department and a huge number of entrepreneurs. This event aims to encourage over 2,500 quality OTOP manufacturers and entrepreneurs nationwide to present and distribute their 4-5 star products, meet with customers, and exchange knowledge in product development to meet the market demand. It is expected that this event will significantly help generate incomes to local communities and entrepreneurs as well as stimulating Thai economy to grow sustainably with more than 800 million baht in sales revenue during an 8-day fair. “OTOP Midyear 2016” is being held from June 6-13, 2016 at Challenger 1-3, Muang Thong Thani.
