Asian Construction Week 2016 to raise the standards of Thailand's building and construction sector with the formation of the AEC

IMPACT Exhibition Management Co., Ltd. is ready to organize Asian Construction Week – the 3 in 1 exhibition for building and construction industry namely BMAM Expo Asia 2016, GBR Expo Asia 2016 and Concrete Asia 2016 to showcase technology of facilities management, green building and construction with over 10,000 sqm., 350 key industrial players and expect to attract over 10,000 trade visitors with over 1,000 million baht of money flow. Asian Construction Week 2016 will be staged from today till 23 September 2016 at IMPACT Exhibition Center.
M.L. Panadda Diskul, Prime Minister’s Office Minister stated that “construction is a basic industry which is very important in development of the country and related and link to the other industries in general .Apart from creating new buildings, today we are more concern on constructing green buildings for energy and natural conservation. Maintaining and managing old buildings is very important as well as new policies in driving the country into smart city, and push the country to be at the top. However, smart city will not be successful without participation of the citizens. Therefore, driving the work to meet the need of people who live in the city is the fundamental concept. Another important thing is to bring technologies for potential practice to create knowledge, change of living standard towards the word “Smart” which is the main concept of understanding and developing. Citizens have to corporate together and bring the strength for sustainable development in city to country level.
Office of the Prime Minister realizes that Asian Construction Week 2016 will benefit for the construction and building industry as well as the whole industry. If building and construction of Thailand is strong it would be beneficial to other industries as well.
Mr. Loy Joon How, General Manager of IMPACT Exhibition Management Co., Ltd. and also the organizer of Asian Construction Week 2016 revealed that IMPACT with Sphere Exhibits Pte Ltd., Asian Institute of Concrete Construction and Globe International Event Consultancy has organized Asian Construction Week 2016 which is organized from 21 to 23 September 2016 at Hall 5 and 6, IMPACT Exhibition & Convention Center, Bangkok, Thailand. The Asian Construction Week is make up of three international exhibitions serving the building and construction industry, namely Building Maintenance and Asset Management Expo Asia, Green Building and Retrofits Expo Asia and Concrete Asia.
This event is organized to be a key regional industry platform and gathering place, for the entire building and construction industry to fulfill their business objectives, source for new solutions, forge new partnerships, expand their business networks and get updated on the latest industry and technology trends. Over 10,000 industry players and trade buyers are expected to attend this all important 3-day event and, we estimate that the event will help generate a business trade volume worth about 1 billion baht. This event will also help to promote and raise the standards of Thailand's building and construction sector within the Asian region, especially with the formation of the AEC, which will provide plenty of regional business opportunities for the Thailand building and construction sector.
Ms. Supawan Teerarat, Vice President of Strategic and Business Development, Thailand Convention & Exhibition Bureau stated “This year, we are proud to provide Asian Construction Week 2016 with financial subsidies. A visitor promotion for organizers under “Be My Guest Campaign” has been set up to attract key international buyers to trade show in Thailand. We sponsor room night’s accommodation during their stay in Thailand prior to the show dates. “Connect Business Campaign” has been also granted by TCEB, under the exhibitions and events sector to overseas legal entities, hereby known as the visitor promoter who organizes a group or a trade mission of at least 10 visitors from ASEAN+6 markets who partake at the selected events in Thailand. With such strategies, we expect to attract more than 5,000 Thai and international visitors to the show and this would bring in country’s revenue up to 120 million baht.”
