Building the Thailand Future of Healthcare in Medical Devices ASEAN 2019, The exhibition and conference on medical industry

Bangkok, Thailand, 18 April 2019 – IMPACT Exhibition Management Co., Ltd. is all geared up for the second edition of Medical Devices ASEAN (“MDA”). The international exhibition and conference on medical devices, technologies, service solutions and general healthcare under the theme, “Building the Future of Healthcare”, with strong support from various medicals associations, will take place from 10 to 12 July 2019, at Hall 5-6 IMPACT Exhibition and Convention Center, Bangkok, Thailand. The show supports the Thai medical industry, one of the five industries of the future (New S-Curve), with emphasize on Thailand being the medical center in ASEAN. More than 4,200 medical professionals are expected to attend the 3-day trade event.
The first edition in 2018 was a success and garnered excellent feedback from government organizations, academics and the private sector. Over 150 exhibiting companies and brands showcasing medical products and technologies from 10 countries welcomed more than 3,600 trade visitors from 31 countries. MDA 2018 fulfilled its objective of being a business platform for medical industry in ASEAN region – it hosted medical academic conferences, as well as seminars for the business sector in medical devices, in addition to 127 pre-scheduled business-matched meetings.
Ms. Nicha Akaramethakul, Project Manager, IMPACT Exhibition Management Co., Ltd. said, “The purpose of MDA 2019 was in response to the government's policy of supporting Thailand to step up to become the medical hub of Asia or the medical center of the ASEAN region, encompassing production, import, export or the point of business in medical technology, medical devices, and health services. MDA 2019 aims to be the central platform to help entrepreneurs expand their business into the healthcare industry in Thailand and the ASEAN region market.”
MDA 2019 features medical seminars and conferences, covering industry trends, business sectors, medical technology and investment. They have been designed to help entrepreneurs create guidelines to improve their business from and will be presented by expert speakers in various fields from both Thailand and overseas, including Thailand Board of Investment; Microsoft; Frost & Sullivan; Healthcare Accreditation Institute (Public Organization); National Institute for Emergency Medicine; Radiological Society Of Thailand; Association of Medical Technology of Thailand; Thai Medical Informatics Association; Thai Association for Medical Instrumentation; Thai Medical Device Technology Industry Association; and the Comptroller General’s Department.
In addition, there will be a myriad of activities, including the demonstration of Telemedicine, which uses communication technology to reduce the process and increase efficiency between patients and medical staff and that between emergency medicine staff and the control center.
“TELY360 will feature an emergency simulation situation at MDA 2019. In the event of a heart attack, visitors can witness the Command Control Center or the emergency medical service center at work – from the moment the internal staff receives an emergency call, to the delivery of an ambulance, as well as explore an ambulance installed with security, tracking and location systems. In addition, visitors will also discover the Ambulance 3rd Eye device or smart glasses. All of the above mentioned systems and more will be working in real-time, to display how they are able to reduce the loss of life during hospital delivery,” added Mr.Kitkamon Maitree, CEO, Tely 360 Company Limited.
