Bangkok Land Group has enhanced safety with over 1,600 of its employees being fully vaccinated against COVID-19. It also supports vaccination among business partners in real estate, rental shops, outlets, shopping centers, community malls, and office buildings. It is determined to make IMPACT Muang Thong Thani, Thailand’s first exhibition and convention center, a pilot group to achieve herd immunity and increase confidence among customers.

Mr. Paul Kanjanapas, Chief Executive Officer of Bangkok Land Public Company Limited and its subsidiaries, announced the Company’s full cooperation with the resolutions made by the Center for COVID-19 Situation Administration (CCSA) on August 27th to lift some COVID-19 restrictions in 29 provinces (dark red zones). All department stores, shopping centers, community malls, shops, and restaurants can now be open starting from September 1st onward. Bangkok Land Group currently manages 3 shopping centers in Muang Thong Thani: Cosmo Bazaar, BEEHIVE Lifestyle Mall and The Portal, and 3 community malls: Outlet Square, Cosmo Wal, and Popular Walk.

It prepares to reopen its business in every unit with safety in mind by maximizing the screening and preventive measures following the government’s disease control regulations where the restaurants can be open under the specified conditions. Air-conditioned restaurants can be open for dining at 50% capacity. Selling or drinking alcoholic beverages in the restaurants is not allowed. In addition, it will strictly ensure good hygiene and safety measures in every building such as setting up a screening area to check visitors’ temperature before entering the centers or shops, requiring facial masks, providing hand sanitizer, scheduling cleaning every 2 hours, practice social distancing, following opening and closing hours set by the government, and disinfecting the whole center after closing daily by using UVC sterilizing devices.

“Bangkok Land finds herd immunity important as a way to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and therefore encourages all of our 1,600 employees working in real estate business, residential business, rental buildings, shopping centers, shopping malls, and outlet stores to get fully vaccinated against COVID-19. We also support business partners, shop tenants, and restaurant staff in getting the vaccine. We hope to promote confidence in our safety precautions, and we are ready to serve our customers on September 1st following the CCSA’s announcement.”

The employees of Bangkok Land Group are not only those who work in real estate and retail businesses, but also those in hospitality business including Novotel Bangkok IMPACT, ibis Bangkok IMPACT, and IMPACT Exhibition and Convention Center, Muang Thong Thani. Although the center is not yet allowed to hold any conferences, seminars, exhibitions, or concerts, all of the employees there have already been vaccinated.

It has become the first exhibition and convention center in Thailand that created herd immunity, ensuring our customers of safety and prompt services whenever the restrictions are lifted. However, the Company is determined to fully comply with any measures imposed by the government and CCSA as well as support herd immunity to achieve the goal of reopening the country safely and help pull the overall economy through this crisis soon.
