IMPACT Exhibition and Convention Center resumes a safe return to physical events with heightened safety protocols

Paul Kanjanapas, chief executive officer of Bangkok Land Public Company Limited, the operator of IMPACT Exhibition Management Co., Ltd, reveals that the venue is moving toward a full opening as the latest surge of COVID-19 cases subside and by a strong confidence in government’s capacity to jump start tourism’s recovery and welcome local people as well as international travelers back to business events safely and responsibly. The MICE industry comprising trade shows, exhibitions, conventions, seminars, incentive travel, and MICE-related activities now resumes operations again with heightened safety regulations together with proof of vacinnation.    

IMPACT Exhibition and Convention Center, Muang Thong Thani, has continued its operations under the “IMPACT We Care” measures to ward off the spread of COVID-19. Currently, all of its employees have already received the COVID-19 vaccine booster shot and required to be tested for COVID-19 twice a month. “Our facilities have received the Amazing Thailand Safety and Health Administration (SHA) certificate from the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT). In addition, we have also earned the Thailand MICE Venue Standard Certification (TMVS) and are certified with the ASEAN MICE Venue Standards (AMVS) by Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureaus (TCEB) to be set as an international standard accredited by the  ASEAN Community Council. The human resources department recently offered online training courses including “Hygiene and Hybrid” implemented by TCEB to enhance employee performance, add Paul.”   

During the 3rd wave of COVID-19 pandamic, the Challenger halls served as a mass vaccination center named “Busarakham Hospital” to treat infected patients in the yellow group from May to September 2021, with a total of 20,436 cases. Following the closure of the vaccination site, an extensive cleaning and disinfecting process was completed throughout our facilities and complied with the supervision of the Department of Disease Control and Department of Healh. 

In the next coming months, the venue keeps busy with 10 B2C and B2G events such as Thailand National Science and Technology Fair, November 9-19, Thailand Baby & Kids Best Buy, November 18-21, Thai Home Builder Expo, November 24-28, Sale of The Year, November 27-December 5, The 38th Thailand International Motor Expo 2021, December 1-12, Smart SME Expo, OTOP City, and Money Expo in addition to weddings and public examinations.
