Published : 2012-02-21
Thailand Post and IMPACT debut their latest cooperative service, fully-integrated logistics, for exhibitors and organizers as well as providing storage space for daily pick-ups and deliveries to support all events and exhibitions. Every Parcel can be tracked 24-hours via the Track & Trace service. The true test for the new service comes on February 21, 2012 when OTOP CITY 2012, one of the biggest trade shows of the year, begins.
Today (February 21, 2012), Mr. Paul Kanjanapas, Managing Director of IMPACT Exhibition Management Co., Ltd and Ms. Anusra Chittmittrapap, President of Thailand Post Co., Ltd. signed a joint venture agreement on logistic services at the Jupiter 4 room, IMPACT Challenger, Muang Thong Thani. The main goal is to be a full-service logistic provider of all types of transportation for exhibitors at IMPACT Muang Thong Thani and to have storage spaces available for daily rentals at reasonable rates.
Ms.Anusra Chittmittrapap, President of Thailand Post Co., Ltd. remarked about its readiness to support small businesses through the new logistic service and offer more convenience at every exhibition or event hosted at IMPACT Muang Thong Thani. Every product, instrument, and piece of equipment will be packed in roll pallets to protect them from accidents or damage. For additional rental storage, Thailand Post can also help distribute goods to exhibitor booths during events, increasing the availability of stock and allowing exhibitors to focus on customers. Exhibitors can easily monitor their parcels via the Track & Trace service on www.thailandpost.co.th using convenient reference numbers.
“To better meet our customers’ needs throughout the region, we continue to improve our services through careful development of our staff and transportation efficiency. Thailand Post’s strong connection with regional post offices helps in the prompt delivery of parcels to exhibition venues and ensures the best service with practical prices. By working in association with IMPACT, an expert in exhibition management and venues, it demonstrates that Thailand Post is ready to provide fully-integrated logistics to every exhibitor in every exhibition.”
Mr. Paul Kanjanapas, Managing Director of IMPACT Exhibition Management Co., Ltd., said that with this business venture, IMPACT will provide the best convenience and ease for both visitors who wish to deliver goods to their preferred destinations and exhibitors who desire to use the service for their booth management at IMPACT.
This logistic service will facilitate transportation and goods distribution to be more organized and faster. It also helps in reduce traffic density around IMPACT as a result of efficient delivery. Exhibitors gain an extra benefit from cost saving since there is no need to hire additional laborers because Thailand Post will directly manage the delivery of goods to clients’ booths. With an outstanding tracking service, exhibitors can monitor their goods and parcels at any time.
There are two main Thailand Post logistic points in IMPACT Muang Thong Thani: the Challenger 3 and IMPACT Exhibition Center Hall 4 loading areas. The four main services provided are the Roll Pallet service, parcel service, rental storage service at the Laksi post office, and product distribution service with the same standard delivery rates charged at other post offices.
OTOP CITY 2012 is the first trade fair to use the fully-integrated logistics service. In general, there are about 800 events hosted at IMPACT annually. With the new logistic service by Thailand Post, it could lead to greater success due to the added convenience and peace of mind. Following IMPACT’s business strategy, Partnership for Success, IMPACT is more than ready to give customers the best experience.
This logistic service can support all types of exhibitors from OTOP products, silver goods, and crafts as well as return booth equipment when the exhibition ends. For inbound logistics, both roll pallets and parcels (cost varies according to distance), please contact any local Thailand Post office for more information or contact Corporate and Marketing Communication Department Tel. 02 831 3214.
