IMPACT restaurant chains streamline strategic plan to reach 3,000 million baht in revenue by 2026
Published : 2023-04-24
With more than 30 restaurants throughout Bangkok and its metropolitan areas, IMPACT Exhibition Management Co., Ltd, the owner and operator of local and international restaurant brands – Tsubohachi, The Coffee Academics Thailand, Thonglor Thai cuisine, and HEI YIN Chinese restaurant to name a few – has big plans for next year and beyond with the aim of reaching 3,000 million baht in revenue. IMPACT plans to add more units and expand catering and delivery business over the course of 2026.
Paul Kanjanapas, chief executive officer of Bangkok Land Public Co., Ltd, says IMPACT owns and operates about 19 local and international brands currently. An uptick in demand for restaurant business has become more transparent than ever post-pandemic. The hospitality industry is growing by leaps and bounds. International tourist arrivals see a significant increase. Dinning out increases dramatically and shows no signs of slowing down. According to Kasikorn Research Center, the restaurant industry is forecasted to grow by 2.7-4.5% this year or equivalent to 4.18 – 4.25 hundred thousand million baht.
IMPACT currently operates 19 local and international brands totaling 32 locations and including 4 Chinese restaurant chains like Hong Kong Fisherman, Hong Kong Café, Hong Kong Suki, and HEI YIN Chinese restaurant, 2 Japanese chains such as Tsubohachi and Taisho Tei Ramen, 2 coffee chains namely The Coffee Academics and Ease Café, 9 International brands comprising Thonglor Thai cuisine, Terrazza, Isan@Arena, Isan Jim Joom, Jackie Seafood, Breeze Café and Bar, Uwajima, IMPACT FARM, and beverage bars, and 2 pub/restaurants: Flann O’Brien’s Irish Pub and Retro Bar and Café.
Going forward to achieve the company’s target, we need to have 1) more locations across the city and store remodeling, which will apply to all of our onsite restaurants that will get a more modern look with clean-lined décor and highly functional space and more seating capacity to accommodate the incrasing demand of international business travelers and exhibitors.
Offsite restaurants, particularly Tsubohachi, a revered Izakaya-style restaurant originated in Hokkaido, and The Coffee Academics, one of the world’s most renowned specialty coffee brands renowned for specialty coffee and exquisite menu offerings, will have food and coffee kiosks to serve customers in high foot traffic areas in office buildings.
2) online marketing tools to attract existing as well as potential customers, encourage purchases, and augment customer engagement. Delivery companies namely LINE MAN, GRABFOOD, Food Panda, and Robinhood roll up their sleeves and create attractive catering and online delivery deals to persuade customers to buy products. Currently Thonglor Thai cuisine offers boxed meals starting at 150 baht while Tsubohachi’s menu starts with as little as 80 baht.
The world already experienced the worst outbreak of COVID-19. Since things are now getting back to normal, and businesses open their doors again, we at IMPACT restaurants need to enhance the customer service experience by giving our onsite dining facilities a fresh, new look, which may include installing new flooring, updating our furnishings and decors, new lightings, to name a few. Each of our restaurant is manned by actual chefs with decades of culinary experience who can expertly craft delectable dishes.
IMPACT FARM, our in-house producer of farm fresh produce and ingredients, buys organic products, fruits, and vegetables directly from local farmers nationwide. All the vegetables and fruits we buy from them allow our chefs to create authentic and modern cuisine that is exceptionally pleasing to every palate.
Store remodeling and the addition of new store locations together with the use of online food delivery applications and unmatched catering service will represent a whole new experience for our customers, all anticipated to be carried out by 2026 and pull in approximately 3,000 million baht in revenue, concluded Paul.
