“HEI YIN” Cantonese restaurant welcomes Chinese New Year 2024 with premium auspicious menus

“HEI YIN”, a quality Cantonese restaurant managed by IMPACT Muang Thong Thani, joins the celebration of Chinese New Year 2024, a major festival for the people of Chinese descent. Spearheaded by Hong Kong native Executive Chef Jacky Chan, who has more than 40 years of professional culinary experience, the restaurant is offering quality auspicious menus including both a la carte menu items with prices ranging from 160++ - 8,000++ baht and set menu for 10 people at 28,888++ - 38,888++ baht from 5 - 15 February 2024.

Indulge in auspicious dishes that Chinese people have during Chinese New Year at “HEI YIN”. The restaurant has prepared a la carte menu items like “Abalone Salad Yu Sheng”, an auspicious dish that every step has a meaning, starting from squeezing a lime and saying wish for prosperity and a smooth life, then mixing the ingredients together with chopsticks, raising the chopsticks as high as possible, and shouting “Loh Hei” which is believed to bring success in the new year. For this auspicious dish, Chef Jacky Chan has selected a large size of abalone that symbolizes wealth and prosperity. Other a la carte dishes include “Salmon Salad Yu Sheng”, “Luxury Poon Choi” that contains superb ingredients in one dish including abalone, goose webs, fish maw, braised pork leg with shiitake mushrooms, lotus root, shrimps, tofu, bean curd, carrot, and radish, “Whole Abalone Stuffed with Minced Shrimp and Crab Paste”, and “Stir-fried Hokkaido Scallops with Broccoli and Salted Egg Yolk Sauce”. In addition, the restaurant proudly presents five new a la carte dishes including “Japanese Conpoy Stuffed Winter Melon Ring and Oyster Sauce”, steamed ring-shaped winter melon stuffed with conpoy or dried scallop and topped with oyster sauce, “Sautéed Snow Fish with Scrambled Milk Egg White”, “Steamed Sticky Rice with Chinese Sausage”, “Deep-fried Crab Claws Stuffed with Minced Shrimps Wrapped with Kataifi Pastry”, and “Stewed Crispy Pork Belly with Lotus Root and Steamed Mantou”.>

Moreover, there are eight varieties of Chinese New Year dim sum (available from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.) including “Steamed Shiitake Mushroom Stuffed with Minced Shrimps, Scallop and Abalone Sauce”, “Steamed Pork Dumplings with Pok Choi in Chicken Broth”, “Steamed Rice Noodle Rolls with Conpoy topped with Steamed Pork Ribs”, “Steamed Turnip Cake with XO Sauce”, “Foie Gras and Assorted Mushrooms Pies”, “Deep-fried Sesame Balls with Lava Custard”, “Peanut and Coconut Puff” and the auspicious and colorful dessert “Lucky Dumpling with Red Jujube Paste and Custard Mochi”. Special beverages including “Dragon Heart” and “Dragon Mimosa” are also available to refresh your palette at 258++ - 358++ baht.

 

For the Chinese New Year Special Set Menu, there are two options available.

The “Overjoyed with Happiness” set is priced at 28,888++ baht (for 10 persons) and consists of eight menu items as follows.

  1. Salmon Salad “Yu Sheng”
  2. Superior Lobster Bisque with Abalone, Fish Maw and Shredded Chicken
  3. Lychee Wood Roasted Peking Duck
  4. Braised Abalone and Goose Webs with Abalone Sauce    
  5. Steamed Australian Lobster with Garlic and Glass Noodles    
  6. Poon Choi
  7. Steamed Sticky Rice with Chinese Sausage
  8. Lucky Dumpling with Red Jujube Paste and Custard Mochi

 

The “Gong Xi Fa Cai” set is priced at 38,888++ baht (for 10 persons) and consists of eight menu items as follows. 

  1. Abalone Salad “Yu Sheng”
  2. “HEI YIN” Style Boneless Chicken Stuffed with Shark’s Fin in Supreme Broth
  3. Lychee Wood Roasted Hong Kong Suckling Pig 
  4. Poon Choi
  5. Stir-fried Australian Lobster with Hong Kong Egg Noodles and XO Sauce
  6. Steamed Korean Turbot Fish with Soy Sauce
  7. Steamed Sticky Rice with Chinese Sausage
  8. Lucky Dumpling with Red Jujube Paste and Bird Nest Custard Mochi
