The Press conference of 31st Thailand International Motor Expo 2014

Kwanchai Prapatpong, Motor Expo President, was present at the press preview at Royal Jubilee Ballroom, IMPACT Exhibition and Convention Center to give a welcome speech to the 31st Thailand International Motor Expo 2014. The expo this year corresponds to the opening market of ASEAN 2015, “Moving Forward Together….ASEAN Autos” to not only demonstrate our competency in the automobile sector but also lift up the passenger vehicle market which is not in good shape this year. Thailand remains a top manufacturing base, producing approximately 2 million cars each year with 90% being passage cars, and half of our total production is shipped to Indonesia, being the second after Thailand and Malaysia as the third. It is estimated that by 2018, the number of vehicles sold in ASEAN would potentially reach 4.7 million cars per year.
