IMPACT Muang Thong Thani and Shell Shuan Shim bring more than 50 renowned food stores
to food lovers throughout a 10-day event
Two big names in the food industry partner up to create tasteful collaborations bringing 50 Shell Shuan Shim certified restaurants to IMPACT Muang Thong Thani from March 29 – April 7, 2024 at IMPACT Arena with a forecast of 100,000 guests during the 10-day event.
Chief executive officer of Bangkok Land Co., Ltd Paul Kanjanapas says, “Thailand has always been known as a gastronomic paradise for tourists from around the world. Bangkok is always a true culinary melting pot, and its street food gains a huge popularity among locals and international travelers. Shell Shuan Shim is a symbol of deliciousness that Thais have trusted for more than 60 years. Any food store guaranteed by Shell Shuan Shim is definitely worth a visit.”
The Shell Shuan Shim committees continue to award new and existing restaurants specialized in Thai, Chinese, and international cuisine along with top dessert spots and cafes throughout Thailand. Traveling from place to place to try each unique individual dish is unfeasible; hence, we bring you the 50 best Shell Shuan Shim certified restaurants all in one setting at IMPACT Arena. This collaboration not only secures Thailand as a gastronomic paradise on a global stage but also catalyzes economic development in the country.
“Leftovers as well as littering can be a daunting task when it comes to hosting a food event. IMPACT’s commitment to reducing food waste remains unwavering. We encourage visitors and guests to take part in our sustainability effort and separate all usable materials beforehand. The use of compostable food, products, and containers are turned back into compost and feed plants, said Paul.”
The Shell Company of Thailand Limited., Country Chair Ornuthai Na Chiangmai says, “Shell proudly supports restaurant operators through the well-recognized Shell Shuan Shim logo, a name ingrained in the hearts of Thai people for over 62 years. We take great pride in fostering and enhancing sustainable career skills for Thai restaurant operators, contributing to the preservation and transmission of the rich heritage and uniqueness of Thai food across generations. The improvement of a high quality of life for Thai society has long been a key strategy for Shell in conducting business, and it has been part of “Powering Lives,” one of the 4 pillars of Shell’s Powering Progress Strategy.”
“On this special occasion, I extend my congratulations and gratitude to IMPACT for orchestrating the event that brings together 50 Shell Shuan Shim restaurants. This initiative provides restaurant operators with a platform to showcase their delectable menus, offering customers the joy of savoring delicious food in one convenient location and eliminating the need to travel to each individual store. We are confident that visitors will enjoy the exceptional culinary standards of Shell Shuan Shim as well as the overall experience of the event. We warmly invite everyone to join us, shop, and savor the delightful offerings from Shell Shuan Shim at this event,” said Ornuthai.
“The iconic Shell Shuan Shim has long become a symbol of deliciousness and trust in the Thai food industry for many decades. My father M.R. Thanadsri Svasti, who served as a food critic and brand ambassador at that time, had awarded a plethora of restaurants with Shell Shaun Shim certification, and many of them still continue to earn this award together with newly qualified restaurants across the country. The committees and I have carefully selected 50 restaurants from all over the country to showcase their delectable menu items including Jueng Ung Luk, the first restaurant in Thailand serving pork skewers; Toh’s roasted duck; Jit Sod Chuen, first runner up best Thai basil menu in 2023; Al-Rahaman, one of the best Indian restaurants in Bangkok; and Emily Chicken Noodle, a new noodle trend among Thai teens. I’m truly delighted to welcome you to participant in this event and looking forward to meeting you all there,” said M.L. Parson.
