IMPACT reaffirms precautionary measures against COVID-19 to ensure the safety of those attending Triam Udom Suksa School's entrance exam

IMPACT reaffirms that it has strictly implemented precautionary measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and confirms that Triam Udom Suksa School's entrance exam is still on schedule – March 5, 2020. The company is carefully following all guidelines and doing everything possible to ensure the safety and well-being of over 30,000 students and parents. There are designated checkpoints for health screening before entering the event premises. Thermal scanners have been installed to screen visitors’ body temperature. All entrances are equipped with hand sanitizer gels. Exam rooms, desks and chairs, as well as ventilation systems are frequently cleaned and disinfected. An isolation room is provided for “patients under investigation” for COVID-19. IMPACT is also actively collaborating with local public health agencies and nearby hospitals in case of a need to transfer suspected patients. Public relations materials have been produced to raise awareness about the virus. These efforts also aim to maintain trust and confidence among visitors. 

According to Miss Jintana Phongpakdee, Director of Corporate Communications, IMPACT Exhibition Management Co., Ltd., the operator of IMPACT Exhibition and Convention Center or IMPACT Muang Thong Thani, IMPACT is preparing the venue to accommodate those attending Triam Udom Suksa School's Mathayom 4 entrance examination for the academic year 2020, which is scheduled for Thursday, March 5, 2020, with more than 12,000 applicants from across the country. The examination will take place from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at IMPACT Forum, Muang Thong Thani.

As the COVID-19 outbreak continues, IMPACT is genuinely concerned for overall health and safety of exhibitors, visitors, and its employees and taking precautionary steps to prevent the spread of the virus in accordance with the standard for MICE Security Management System or TIS 22300. The company has also discussed guidelines and best practices for screening the attendees with the exam organizer. As students will be accompanied by their parents, an estimated 30,000 attendees are expected to be at the event. 

Miss Jintana Phongpakdee said “Apart from Triam Udom Suksa School's entrance exam, other events being held at IMPACT Muang Thong Thani during this period of time include the 5^th Material Handling Equipment Logistics Warehouse & Packing Machine Exhibition or MHE & PACK MAC 2020, which is scheduled for March 4-7, 2020 at Hall 8, and Furniture Fair 2020, to be held on March 7-15, 2020 at Challenger 3. Previously, there was a rumor that the furniture fair has been postponed due to COVID-19 concerns. World Fair Co., Ltd., the event organizer, has denied the rumor and confirmed that the event will go ahead as planned. The company has also reaffirmed that customers could rest assured that IMPACT has good, efficient measures in place to prevent the disease, so everyone can attend the event as usual.” 

Mr. Sophon Kamol, Director of Triam Udom Suksa School, added that in light of the developing COVID-19 situation, the school has issued guidelines for the prevention of infection in accordance with guidelines from the Department of Disease Control under the Ministry of Public Health to ensure smooth conduct of the examination. The exam candidates are allowed to wear face masks on the exam date to protect against COVID-19.
