IMPACT Chefs Win International Culinary Contest

IMPACT Muang Thong Thani has shown just how good the venue’s catering is, when a team of its chefs were named champions of the Thailand’s International Culinary Cup 2010 held at Royal Paragon Hall from 15-18 September 2010.

Thailand’s International Culinary Cup is a three-day test of culinary skills for individual chefs and teams from around the region, held as part of the popular Food & Hotel Thailand exhibition held in Bangkok. This year a total of 436 chefs participated in the event from Hong Kong, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, United Arab Emirates and Thailand.

In the face of strong competition, the IMPACT culinary team won 11 medals, including a gold medal in the Individual Pasta Free Style Cooking Contest. As overall winners, the IMPACT team was awarded the prestigious Royal Trophy donated by HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn.

The success is no surprise for IMPACT’s Executive Chef Jeremy Lim, who credits good teamwork, skill and hard work as the keys to reaching high culinary standards within the venue.

“I am proud of this achievement. We have worked hard to raise the skill levels of our catering team, developing their expertise in cooking, decoration and menu creation. My next goal is to pass on my cooking techniques and valuable experience to the IMPACT team so that they can maintain the high standards of style and taste in our restaurants and banquet catering.”

As the largest event venue in Thailand, IMPACT Muang Thong Thani has 7 main restaurants, a host of fast food outlets, coffee corners and food court, plus extensive in-house catering for special events such as banquets, cocktail parties, corporate dinners and product launches
