China invests over 10 million baht to hosts the 3rd CACF to foster Thai-Chinese business relations ahead of AEC

China Foreign Trade Centre organizes The 3rd China-ASEAN (Thailand) Commodity Fair (CACF 2013) in Thailand, to affirm Chinese businessmen’s investment direction that considers Thailand as the base of their exports to ASEAN markets for the upcoming ASEAN Economic Community establishment in 2015 and to attract potential investors from Thailand and ASEAN to the Chinese market.
(Bangkok – 5 July 2013) Miss Deng Jingjing, Vice General Manager of CFTE Outbound Exhibition Company, representative of China Foreign Trade Centre as the organizer of CACF 2013, said that in the past several years, economic situation in China has been stagnating. According to Chinese customs department, the exports of goods in May grew only 1%, account for USD 182,800 million – much lower than the figures earlier expected by the economists at 5.6%. The imports showed a decline of 0.3% from a month earlier, account for USD 162,300 million. This has forced Chinese businessmen to begin seeking new investment channels.
Following this trend, more Chinese businessmen are heading towards developing countries, especially Thailand which benefits from its prime location in the heart of ASEAN. More Chinese businessmen are coming to Thailand to invest in industries like automobile, agriculture, construction, food & beverage, consumer goods, aiming Thailand as their distribution base to other ASEAN countries according to the domestic demand.
In light of this, China Foreign Trade Guangzhou Exhibition General Corp. sees the importance of having a platform that allows entrepreneurs from China, Thailand and ASEAN who have international trade potential to discuss businesses. The company then organizes the 3rd edition of CACF in Thailand.
The event gains cooperation and support from government units such as Chinese Embassy in Thailand, Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau (Public Organization) and Thai-Chinese Chamber of Commerce.
The 3rd CACF will be held during 18-21 July 2013 at Hall 5, IMPACT Exhibition and Convention Center, Bangkok, Thailand on the exhibition area of 7,000 sq.m. Over 300 leading manufacturers from China, Malaysia and Thailand have already confirmed their participation to showcase a variety of goods such as Auto Parts, Machinery, Electrical Appliance, Building Material, Houseware & Consumer Goods as well as Food & Beverage Products.
The exhibition offers the entrepreneurs a chance to meet and discuss businesses in order to update information and to build business alliance networks. Foreign investors could also expand their business in Thailand and Thai entrepreneurs could expand their distribution channels in China. Moreover, visitors can select export quality and outstanding products directly from manufacturing companies.
