IMPACT provides IMPACT Forum for "Nonthaburi Prompt" with space for setting up a COVID-19 vaccination site
Published : 2021-06-28
Being aware of the situation in which the number of infected people is increasing, and this will be likely to accelerate a wider spread of the novel coronavirus, IMPACT has cooperated with and provided support to Nonthaburi Province by offering a 5,000-square-meter space of the IMPACT Forum at the Zone 1 Entrance of IMPACT Muang Thong Thani as COVID-19 vaccination site.
After consideration and approval, the Public Health Office of Nonthaburi Province is using the facility as one of its COVID-19 vaccination sites in an attempt to give people enough immunity to prevent infection. The vaccination site has already started giving COVID-19 vaccines on Sunday, June 27 with the capacity to administer up to 3,000 shots for those pre-registered for the Nonthaburi Prompt’s vaccination program.
Paul Kanjanapas, Chief Executive Officer of Bangkok Land Public Company Limited currently operating the IMPACT Exhibition and Convention Center, Muang Thong Thani, said: “Our contribution quickly responds to the Nonthaburi Province COVID-19 Information Center’s announcement on the latest pandemic situation in the province, which has been identified as one of dark-red zones hit by rising infections. The Nonthaburi Communicable Disease Committee, therefore, came to a resolution that the province’s residents and various risk groups to get vaccinated against COVID-19 as soon as possible when allocated.”
Apart from providing the facility, IMPACT has sent a team of volunteering staff to assist vaccine recipients and help with site set-up and installation, space cleaning, preparations of equipment, tables, and chairs, and get everything ready for the vaccination. It also helps with parking and traffic flow under strict COVID-19 preventive measures of IMPACT We Care. The provision of space to serve as a vaccination site is part of the company’s social contribution – no rental charge.
Paul added: "A rise in daily infections and deaths is causing concern. It is once again that our chairman Peter Kanjanapas and I have no hesitation in offering part of the IMPACT Forum as a vaccination site at free of charge. This is based on the same social contribution policy that we offered IMPACT Challenger to locate the Busarakham Field Hospital recently supporting the yellow-group COVID-19 patients. It is a pleasure demonstrating social responsibility and helping Thai people to achieve herd immunity for the country, which will get everyone through this crisis as quickly as possible.”
