IMPACT Culinary Team wins Thailand 19th International Culinary Cup Competition for the third time

(September 2013) IMPACT Culinary Team once again won the HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn Cup at the Thailand 19th  International Culinary Cup Competition 2013 or TICC 2013 recently held at BITEC Bangna for the third consecutive year. The team led by Chef Jeremy Lim Boon Seng, Executive Chef of IMPACT Exhibition Management Co., Ltd., has been awarded a trophy cup with four gold medals, six silver medals and three bronze medals.

This marked the third year in a row where IMPACT Culinary Team won the TICC championship. Phathara Rodphol, Sous Chef of Bistro De Champagne restaurant, and the team members won a Winner trophy for the highest score in Modern Thai Cuisine, two gold medals and one silver medal for cooking 3 sets of food with the total of 12 dishes in two-hour competition, winning. Chef Phathara also won the Most Outstanding Professional Chef in the competition with the highest score in all professional categories.

There were more than 500 chefs from Asia and all parts of Thailand such as Le Cordon Bleu Institute, Anoma Hotel, Mandarin Oriental Hotel and Grand Hyatt Erawan Hotel participated in the competition. IMPACT Culinary Team has prepared selective menus using the freshest and best quality ingredients together and showcased their culinary creativity that successfully won the judges’ hearts.

Sous Chef of Bistro De Champagne, Pathara Rodphol known as Chef Noom, also won the Most Outstanding Professional Chef in the competition, and he will represent Thailand to compete in Singapore International Culinary Competition next year. The team has worked very hard to achieve the best results. Additionally, Chef Noom wants to promote Thai cuisine and culture to be more well-known worldwide as well as to help enhance Thai food industry to meet international standards.
